Alors qu’il vient de présenter un exercice à ses élèves, Matthew Weathers, de l’université de Biola (Californie), lance une vidéo explicative. Mais pas n’importe laquelle. Une vidéo interactive réunissant le virtuel et la réalité.
Tout débute lorsque l’on entend Matthew Weathers dire “Je suis désolé. C’est très embarrassant”. Le professeur va commencer, au bout de quelques secondes, à se disputer avec l’homme de la vidéo, qui n’est autre que lui-même. Et qui va lui répondre: “Venez me le dire en face”. S’en suit alors une mise en scène coordonnée montrant la bataille verbale puis physique entre l’être numérique et le réel.

While just introducing an exercise to his students, Matthew Weathers, from Biola University (California), is launching an explanatory video. But not just any. An interactive video gathering virtual and reality.
It all started when we hear Matthew Weathers say “I’m sorry. It’s very embarrassing.” The teacher will begin in a few seconds to argue with the man in the video, which is none other than himself. And who will answer him, “Come tell me to my face”. Then follows a coordinated staging showing verbal and physical battle between digital and real.
Mais ce prof de maths n’en est pas à sa première blague. Il avait déjà réalisé par le passé d’autres vidéos de ce genre notamment pour le 1er avril 2014 (découvrez la vidéo ci-dessous). Postée le 2 avril sur YouTube, celle-ci totalise plus d’un million de vues.
